The Laser Goat is an unused character that is only obtainable through hacking. Zomboss appears in an early screenshot of the game's character-select screen found in the files. The packaging and concept art used for the toy shows that Crazy Dave's RV would've had a Corn Launcher weapon, possibly meaning Boss Mode could've had more attacking abilities or even primary weapons, and could have possibly played more similarly to the Butterhawk. Zombies section of the Jazwares showroom at the 2016 New York Toy Fair displayed an unreleased "Penny RV" toy, which instead of using a finished or prototype model of the toy, used concept art of Boss Mode in Garden Warfare 2. Placeholder icons for the mode exist in the files. Boss Mode was going to return from the first Garden Warfare, but was scrapped due to negative feedback given about the mode and its unpopularity among players in Garden Warfare.
